How To: Recipient of Western Union Money Transfer

I had my first experience as Recipient of Western Union money transfer, which merits this blog post.

MTCN# or Money Transfer Control Number, a ten digit number, is amongst the primary information needed by the teller along with Receiver's Name, Sender's Name, Amount of money transferred, Receiver's contact number and sender's origin. I was also requested to present a valid I. D.

Once teller has the necessary information, I signed the print out of acknowledgement receipt form and the money is handed over to me.

It was a simple process, right? But I was unsuccessful with my first attempt in one of Western Union outlets at Quezon City. The second outlet at San Mateo, Rizal made it possible.

For a mere one thousand pesos equivalent money transfer, the learning was worth it.

Commuting to work has never been a usual thing for me since 2007 when we got our first car. However, I am being reminded of the Lord's goodness these past few weeks.

Everything works together for good and all the time God is good.

Request for Withdrawal of Funds

After hitting the profit objectives in stock market trading, it is now time to put this into reality, i.e., translate the figures seen at COL Financial website to actual money at my bank account.

COL Financial made is quite easy:

1. Download the Withdrawal Fund form by navigating Home > Forms menu.
2. Provide the required information in the form. Affix your signature.
3. Scan and email to COL Financial.

Since this is my first time, I even called the Customer Service to confirm receipt of email but in the normal days you just have to send the request before 11AM and you’ll be able to pick up the check in the afternoon.

There is an option allowing COL Financial to make the deposit to your BPI, Metrobank or BDO account. However, I find my first time so special that I want a check as proof. It’s just me!

 

One Hundred Things Before Leaving Earth (20120820 Update)

Although I don't have the Visa yet, I would say that on August 27, 2012 I'm set to travel to the land down under. This activity will satisfy an item listed in my One Hundred Things Before Leaving Earth: Travel to at least one country for each of the seven continents of the world.

Yes! I'm stepping in closer to leaving earth! Thanks be to God!

I'm dying and really bored about it. I want to do something worthwhile. Some kind of 'legacy' that my lineage will be proud of speaking.

So here goes the 100 things I'd like to achieve before leaving earth.

Mira. Friend. Wife. Mentor.

 

Today is one of those rare moments when I say words of appreciation to Mira. Probably I should do this more often just like when I say “I love you” at the end of each phone calls or before sleeping or while doing “it” you know.

God reminded me of how special Mira is in Proverbs 18:22 which says “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD.” Thank you Lord for your favor because there is really “good” in Mira.

• I am now well dressed. If you’ve seen how I dress up before I met Mira, you’d really say “Shem looks better now”. Thanks to Mira’s “fashionista” eyes.
• I am now a “heart throb” driver. All my driving fantasies were realities when playing with bump cars BUT Mira was key to having a true-to-life car driving experience.
• I am now managing my finances better. With Mira’s perseverance in exemplifying how money (and wealth) should be saved and spent, I’ve learned to take control of disbursing my allowances.
• I am now a father of two brilliant boys. Nothing can replace this fatherhood status and experience and Mira really went on sacrificing her physical body for caesarean section operations so I can have this wonderful opportunity to father Allen and Ehsra.
• I am now a certified Project Management Professional. With Mira’s outstanding achievement as a certified Project Management Professional herself, she never lost heart encouraging me on doing good Project Management. I really owe this one to you Mira and, with God’s help, you’ll reap His blessings.

Mira, thanks for everything. I will love you until my dying day.
